Virginia "Ginni" Thomas — the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas who reports say was in communication with the rump allies about overturning the 2020 presidential election results — will soon meet with the U.S. House committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, riots, according to multiple reports.
It is being reported that the committee and Thomas have come to an agreement weeks after the group sent her a letter asking her to testify.
She has said from the outset, Mrs. Thomas is eager to answer the Committee's questions to clear up any misconceptions about her work relating to the 2020 election. She looks forward to that opportunity.
"The committee appears eager to speak with Thomas, at least in part, due to her communications with lawmakers and those in the rump's inner orbit — with whom she pleaded to "not concede," despite the fact that rump lost both the popular and electoral votes in 2020.

Ginni Thomas, met with the House select committee investigating the January 6, 2021, attack on the US Capitol on Thursday for about four and a half hours.
Democratic Rep. Bennie Thompson of Mississippi, who chairs the January 6 committee, told CNN that Thomas answered “some questions” in her interview with the panel and reiterated her belief that the 2020 presidential election was stolen.“Yes” Thompson said when asked if Thomas said she still believes the election was stolen. “She said that.
Thompson would not divulge what the committee asked about, including whether she addressed her text messages with then-President Donald rump’s chief of staff Mark Meadows.
When asked if Thomas tried to clear up her previous statements, as her lawyer said, Thompson said, “we didn’t accuse her of anything.”Thompson said overall, “at this point we are glad she came in.
”Asked whether the panel will incorporate its interview with Thomas into its next hearing, which still hasn’t been rescheduled, Thompson said, “if there’s something of merit.
”Thomas also declined to say whether she spoke with her husband, Justice Thomas, about her beliefs that the 2020 presidential election was stolen.“Thank you for your question, I look forward to answering members,” she said.
Thomas’ attorney, Mark Paoletta, confirmed the voluntary interview in a statement last week, saying, “As she has said from the outset, Mrs. Thomas is eager to answer the Committee’s questions to clear up any misconceptions about her work relating to the 2020 election.
She looks forward to that opportunity.”She has also been publicly critical of the House January 6 investigation, calling on House GOP leaders to boot from their conference the two Republicans serving on the select committee.
Thompson also said that the panel had yet to reschedule its next hearing, after postponing it on Wednesdaybecause of Hurricane Ian. The Mississippi Democrat said he doubts the hearing will take place next week.
