I imagine the many lawmakers who have been threatened and harassed would be happy to cast a vote in favor of such a bill.The unthinkable attack on the Pelosi home shows how violence against members of Congress is getting out of hand.
It’s time for social media companies to stop hosting content that normalizes this kind of violence and for the FBI to get serious about investigating and prosecuting these attacks.
They should use this horrific episode (Paul Pelosi being attacked with a hammer) as the wake-up call that it is, and not wait for Sen. Collins’ prediction that a member of Congress may end up dead to come true.
