Brittney Griner released from Russian detention!
- President Biden announced the release of Brittney Griner Thursday, saying the WNBA star is on her way home now after months in Russian detention.
- Griner was released as part of a prisoner swap for convicted Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout, according to a source familiar with the matter.

I'm happy for Ms. Griner. But I do wonder about lives lost in the future because a convicted arms dealer is free. What a world. I really hope other athletes do not continue to make stupid mistakes like this.

Athletes play in other countries all the time. However, I had heard that there is a lot of racism in Russia so it's not a place of choice. But athletes can go there, play ball, and make money. They go all over; Mexico, Israel, Russia, and more. But these American girls need to learn that other countries do not play ball as we do. (not to make a pun) When in Rome, do as the Romans!
When you travel, don't pack drug

I'm happy she's coming home. That will be some homecoming for Christmas!
