President Obama's Message to Christians

“Many of our fellow Christians do not enjoy that right, and [we] hold especially close to our hearts and minds those who have been driven from their ancient homelands by unspeakable violence and persecution.”

President Obama says that church bells in many parts of the Middle East won’t be ringing tonight because of “the brutal atrocities committed against these communities by ISIL.”

He continues:We join with people around the world in praying for God’s protection for persecuted Christians and those of other faiths, as well as for those brave men and women engaged in our military, diplomatic, and humanitarian efforts to alleviate their suffering and restore stability, security, and hope to their nations.

As the old Christmas carol reminds us:The Wrong shall fail. The Right prevail. With peace on earth, good-will to men.

Re: President Obama's Message to Christians

It speaks to the kind of person he truly is, instead of what some people have worked overtime to try to convince their followers, that he's not "one" of us.

Re: President Obama's Message to Christians

Such a beautiful message. . I like that he does not fear monger. It seems fear & hate are what motivates a lot of our country right now. I do not want to make decisions based on fear. President Obama is a good man. I think a good leader also.

I especially like this statement: The wrong shall fail, The right prevail. I believe it is true.
