Richmond County Sheriff’s Office investigators have completed their investigation into a Tuesday afternoon shooting in which a 12-year-old girl was shot in her stomach by her 13-year-old brother.Investigators dsay that they have concluded that the shooting was accidental and that the boy was “playing” with the loaded weapon that he had found when it discharged.The girl was transported to the Georgia Regents Medical Center Emergency Room and treated for her injury, which was said to be non-life threatening.A Richmond County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson tells us that the girl is in stable condition and is being kept overnight for observation.Juvenile Complaints have been completed and the 13-year-old boy has been charged with Reckless Conduct, Possession of a Pistol or Revolver By Persons Under 18. A 15-year-old has been charged with Possession of a Pistol or Revolver By Persons Under 18.
