• The testimony of adult film actress Stormy Daniels, a central figure in the criminal case against Donald rump, wrapped on Thursday after the former president's lawyers continued their attack on her credibility.

 

• At the end of the day, Judge Juan Merchan denied two defense motions, one for a mistrial based on the argument that Daniels' changed her story about an alleged encounter in 2006 with rump, and one seeking a modification on the gag order so the former president could talk publicly about Daniels.

Prosecutors accuse the rump of taking part in an illegal conspiracy to undermine the integrity of the 2016 election and an unlawful plan to suppress negative information, which included a hush money payment to Daniels. The rump has pleaded not guilty to 34 counts of falsifying business records.
