President Donald J. Trump

Gotta say this is a possibility.

I was stunned that DT won SC, not to mention by a pretty good margin, did not expect that! Is there anything that will stop him? The Republican voters are speaking loud and clearly in support of Trump. IMO, he will be their nominee.

However, not all Republican voters support Trump and there just might be some party line crossing in the election.
Same applies to the Democrats that are fed up with Washington.

Trump's 'victory' speaks volumes and the only way to stop him is by the ballet vote. I am afraid for our country and you should be to.

Good morning Braveone99
I must agree he very well could be, and like you I also think he will be their nominee. I do think some just might be some party line crossing in the election, I don't see anyone stopping him at all, some Republican and just drinking the kool-aid that Trump has made for them

Re: President Donald J. Trump

I agree Braveone. It scares the hell out of me.

But surely the majority of Americans are smart enough to see Donald Trump for what he is.
It is going to be a very long election year.

Good morning Sam
I am so with you, it's scares as hell, and I don't see him wining when the majority vote, I do think most Americans are very smart and will not put Donald Trump in the White House

Agreed. I am truly embarrassed for our country, but also concerned. Wth is wrong with so many of us that we have allowed him to get this far? Says much more about America as a whole IMO.

Re: President Donald J. Trump

I'm hoping it says a lot more about the people on the right than it does everyone else.  I can't believe that the majority of Americans have this much "hate" in their hearts, because that is exactly what this man represents, hate and ignorance.  We saw what the right put into office the last time, we're still trying to recover from that, can you imagine the damage that this man could do.  It is totally scary.

Re: President Donald J. Trump

You mean there's not going to be a wall?

Experts estimate that building and maintaining such a wall on the 1,954-mile border, which snakes along four huge states, would cost tens of billions of dollars. And the 21,000 border patrol agents currently on duty would be "nowhere near sufficient" to keep close surveillance on all of it, said Wayne Cornelius, director of University of California San Diego's Mexican migration field research program.

"Any kind of border barrier can be climbed over, and to prevent that type of activity, we would have to have not just drones in the sky, but a lot of boots on the ground," he said.

But what about or national debt?

What about the deficit?

Re: President Donald J. Trump

Well....I can see a Trump_Rubio ticket.  Trump can recover from anything he has said in the past because we all know how short people's memories are.
Trump is disgusting.
But......we need take a good look at what he says that is so appealing to so many people.
Here is what I hear on the streets:
-Americans can't afford to go to college but people come from outside the country and go for free.
-Americans need jobs. Why are so many jobs sent outside of the country?
-This from a former Headstart teacher/admin person.  "I had to turn away a working mother who made  $28k per year (too much) with one kid but another mother, non citizen, gets accepted because she under reports her income (earns cash) and once she is in, she's in.  Now she has five kids.

Here is my pet peeve:  Why are we giving so much money to other countries whose economies are better than that of the USA? We have so many Americans who are in need and are under educated.

Democrats have to address these issues if we are to pull them way from Trump and I think, Rubio, These are issues that impact working class and poor Americans and until solutions are found, we are in deep. Politicians are living in bubbles and do not really know anything about the daily struggles of everyday working folk.

Re: President Donald J. Trump

I have always had a photo of the sitting President in my classroom and it was no fun staring at Bush for 8 years....but I can't see myself posting Trumps face in my classroom.....

I too think the majority of Americans are smart enough to see DT for what he is. I also thought the majority of Republicans smart enough to see DT for what he is but so far, I have been proven wrong.

Hi Zeke,

Almost everything you say is valid. We do need to take a good look at what Trump is saying and many are doing just that.

The examples you state from 'on the street' are valid issues needing to be addressed. With respect, the ending statement that Americans in need are under educated is something Trump would say. Is this what you really think? I think I know you well enough to say no!! ??
