Grey, damp, but supposed to go to the 50's in NY today.  Not bad.....could be worse!
I haven't had sugar since January 8th. Feel good but no great weight loss.

Cool, cloudy & blah here but at least there is no snow. LOL

That is great that you cut sugar out of your diet, zeke.  Sugar is evil!

Have you increased your exercise? Sometimes a scale is not the best way to determine fat loss.  If you are exercising you will gain muscle & lose fat. Muscle weighs more than fat, so a scale does not always show your loss.  But if you aren't exercising then that would be why there is no weight loss.

Congrats on giving up sugar. That is no easy feat.

I had Zekes weather today , tomorrow is supposed to be nice, I think
You gave up all sugar Zeke? Wow  Was this a choice? LOL  (sorry)  I am just fascinated by people's elimination diets these days (why I asked if it was choice)

Yes....giving up sugar is a choice but not really. I convinced myself that I am a candidate for Diabetes so one day when I felt like s__t (after the holidays) I just stopped. I stopped smoking the same way but the result was weight gain. (many years ago).
Not exercising enough. I think I need to figure out a way to become addicted to exercise but haven't gotten there yet. I feel like I am trimming down but no one has said to me...."are you losing weight?".   Lol.

Zeke ! Are you losing weight?
LOL at convincing yourself. Stubborn one, I bet. That's a whole lot of science involved in the diabetic eating . Kudos on the quitting smoking

Re: Good Morning, March 15, 2016

Good morning everyone.  Giving up sugar is a good thing.  I'm not sure it's the answer to diabetes though, my whole family has it, I'm a little high so far.  They're always saying it's not about the sugar, it's about the carbs in potatoes and bread.  Sugar isn't good for you either, so if you can cut it out you are a very disciplined person, I've had to give up everything gluten and dairy, don't know if I could cut out the sugar completely too.
