Hi everyone, I'm Cindi, but was 1DomesticGoddess at the original View Message Board. I was a long time member of the forum, and posted once in a while, but I mainly read a lot of what was being posted. I was sad when I read The View Message Board was going to be deleted, as well as the original Bachelor/Bachelorette mb too, but I was delighted to see this board had been created, so now I have another mb I can enjoy viewing, and hopefully, be able to participate in a bit more. For those who don't know me... I have always considered myself to be a "domestic goddess", but I'm also a country gal at heart! My husband and I have been married 38 years, we have 3 grown daughters (of which 2 are married), and we have one granddaughter whose 15, and I just adore her. As for my interests and hobbies... I enjoy cooking, baking, collecting cookbooks, sharing recipes, and reading about the paranormal.
Welcome to the board! Look forward to reading some of your recipes! We have a recipe column, so feel free to jump in.

Nice to see you Domestic Goddess....Love your name. I have 3 grown sons so we have something in common. I became a Grandma last year to twins, Henry & Claire. Nothing better than being a Grandma!

Hi there Vantro, SEC4ever, Spunky, Sam and Shiny! Thank you very much for making me feel welcome here! Vantro, I look forward to sharing recipes... SEC4ever, It'll be nice in reading others interests and hobbies... Spunky, it will be refreshing to post freely and not worry about being banned form the site... and Sam, I couldn't agree more with you, there is nothing better than being a Grandma! By the way Sam, my granddaughters' name is Jaycee, and she is such a sweet girl, plus she's very smart and takes her schooling very seriously. I think that's why the teachers at her shool have always liked her, plus she's quite mature for her age, and has always gotten along very well with adults.

That must make you so proud,Domestic Goddess. I bet it is fun hanging out with her or watching a movie with her. I think it helps keep a person young when you can see things through the eyes of youth. At 15 she must be getting so grown up.

Hi and welcome. Your user name reminds me of Roseanne Barr when she first started out. I took my MIL to see Julio inglesias and Roseanne Barr was his opening act.
This was before the show Roseanne was on TV. She Refered to herself as the domestic goddess, a character so many could identify with!

Sam, I am very proud of my granddaughter! From the time Jaycee was a baby and up till now, she has always been a good girl and very respectful around us and others. And now that she is 15, she really is a grown up young lady. I can't believe she'll be a sophmore this year in high school.

italocindy, I love Roseanne and also her show. Infact, she's the reason why I chose "Domestic Goddess" as my username on most forums, etc... I remember the first time I had seen Roseanne on the Tonight Show, and when Johnny Carson was the host of the show. Gawed, Roseanne just cracks me up! Cindy, when you and your MILwent to see Julio Ingesias, I bet you also enjoyed Roseanne's opening act?

We did, Roseanne had a funny stand up act with her whiny voice with perfect annoying pitch. I saw MIL in a whole new light that evening, when Julio came on stage, there was no holding her back!

Roseanne Barr is my hero! I just love her.
Did you guys see her Comedy Central Roast a few years ago? It was so funny. At the end, she talked about when she sang the National Anthem at that Baseball game, and she thought it would be funny to sang it like a baseball player & spit at the end. She was so surprised & hurt that everyone took it the wrong way & got mad at her. Well, she said that the reaction really bothered her, she did not mean it to seem unpatriotic and she was very sorry she was misunderstood. She said she wanted a do-over. She then sang the National Anthem normally & it was very sweet. Love that woman!
