Dennis Hastert’s lawyers asked a federal judge Wednesday to spare the former U.S. House Speaker time behind bars in his hush-money case and sentence him to probation, saying the 74-year-old has already paid a steep price in shame and disgrace.
(That's what they all say.)
His attorny highlighted the removal of his portrait from the U.S. Capitol and the elimination of his name from public landmarks, saying: “Mr. Hastert has been stung by the public repudiations of him that followed his indictment.”
(What did Mr. Hastert expect, high fives and belly bumps?)

I was just reading some of the details & he is nasty, but more than that he is a vile evil that is not ashamed or sorry for anything but getting caught.

Update: Hastert molested 4 boys.
One of the victims, identified in court documents as "Individual D," told prosecutors that Hastert "put a 'Lazyboy'-type chair in direct view of the shower stalls in the locker room where he sat while the boys showered."
