Carson:"A number of people have talked to him, including his family," Carson said about Trump's Twitter habits. "And he knows that it's a problem. You know, the first part of solving a problem is recognizing it exists."
"I would say (to Trump) read the Bible and pray, and learn how to put yourself in other people's shoes," Carson said when asked what advice he'd offer Trump.
Carson said there are weaknesses in Trump's campaign that needed to be fixed. "For him, it's a matter of just switching over to his normal persona as opposed to the Apprentice persona," he said, referring to the reality TV show Trump hosted for 11 years.
Since Carson began acting as a surrogate for the business mogul, he has made a series of unflattering comments about Trump, including saying that there are "probably" better people suited for the White House.
