A pastor walks into a Texas bakery...

Actually into Whole Foods aka Whole Paycheck & they are firmly defending their rep after being accused of selling a cake with a homophobic slur. Pastor Jordan D. Brown ordered a cake with "Love Wins" written at the top from WF. The pastor claims that he did not notice the "fag" slur until he was driving home. WF is denying that they wrote the slur & most ppl are siding with WF.

WF:Our team member wrote “Love Wins” at the top of the cake as requested by the guest, and that’s exactly how the cake was packaged and sold at the store. Our team members do not accept or design bakery orders that include language or images that are offensive. Whole Foods Market has a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination. We stand behind our bakery team member, who is part of the LGBTQ community, and the additional team members from the store, who confirmed the cake was decorated with only the message “Love Wins.”

So why would Pastor Brown claim that this happened? His church supports lgbt community & he is gay. Was he just trying to get Kim Davis 15 minutes of fame? Is he using for money? Or was he simply just ticked at WF?

Personally I think he was trying to get 15 minutes of fame trying to make another homophobic bakery story. It is a shame, because real discrimination happens daily & things like this just muddy the waters. I just thought it was an odd story having a pastor, a bakery, the slur "fag" & Texas.

Some people just can't seem to get enough attention.  Sounds like he doesn't practice what he preaches.

Re: A pastor walks into a Texas bakery...

You can bet this will be used against the lgbt community. I wonder if that ever occurred to him?

Great point!

Re: A pastor walks into a Texas bakery...

WF released security footage of Pastor Brown purchasing the cake & it proves the cake was tampered with after purchase. WF has said they will take legal action against Brown & his attorney.

What was this man thinking? What did he want to gain?

Re: A pastor walks into a Texas bakery...

if you've seen a picture of this cake there is NO WAY that he could have picked up the cake, walked it to the check out, paid for it and walked it to his car with out seeing what was written on the cake.  The word that he claimed was on the cake was smack dab in the center of the clear plastic window in the box.  I think he is just out for money.
