Sarah “I Can See Russia From My House” Palin reached peak absurdity Friday, comparing the U.K.’s vote to leave the European Union with the United States’ Declaration of Independence, adding she hopes the “UN shackles [will] be next on the chopping block.”

Palin—a vocal supporter of presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump—lamented the “apocalyptic One World Government that dissolves the nation’s self-determination and sovereignty.”

“The Brexit referendum is akin to our own Declaration of Independence,” Palin continued. “May that refreshed spirit of sovereignty spread over the pond to America's shores!”
