I can still hear Ann Romney speaking those words at the RNC convention in 2012.
The GOP may say they love women, but for some reason, women are not very visible this election cycle.
Carly Fiorina, after being insulted for her unfortunate looks, was the first to go.
Then there was the convention itself.
After endorsing DT, Sarah Palin was a no show. The pathetic excuse?
Flyying from Alaska to Cleveland would have been too much of a burden.
(Real reason: She's a flake and was tied up with yet another family scandal.)
What about the other kook, Michelle Bachman?
Condi Rice? Everybody loves Condi, right?
Condi said, thanks but no thanks
Utah Rep. Mia Love: "I don't see any upsides to it.... I don't see how this benefits the state." She'll spend much of the week in Israel instead.
Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski "will be traveling by small plane and boat along the Yukon River in western Alaska to meet with Alaskans."
To be fair, I recall three GOP women who did attend the convention.
Two of them spoke.
One was a lady golfer; can't remember her name, but she was supposed to endorse Trump and then didn't.
Then there was "Bread Bag Joni, the hog castrator" Ernst.
Unfortunately, they put her on stage so late, people were leaving and only the custodial staff got to hear her speech.
They said it was very good.
And last but not least, the ancient, bland doyen of the GOP Phyllis Schafly made a cameo appearance.
