Hi Everyone!

Many people are busy making plans for the long weekend...and looking forward to a long weekend and a day off from work.

Morning Spunky & all to follow,
It is definitely cooler at night now. Funny how Summer nights just end & the cooler nights of Fall prevail. I must say the mosquitoes are loving it. Seriously, I tried to water my garden at about 6 pm last night & I was attacked by a swarm of ravenous mosquitoes. I stood my ground until one bit me on the face & I just went back in the house.
I have to try again this evening but not before I spray OFF liberally all over myself.
Not much planned for the holiday weekend except a family beach day on Sunday.
My Mom, my sisters, my nephew, all 3 of my Sons & SO's and my Grandbabies. We are even bringing my Granddog. I am so excited! I haven't been to the beach (Lake Michigan) all year. It won't be that warm, about 80 but I loaded up on sand toys so there may be some serious castle building going on!
Have a great Friday everyone!

Hi Spunky and all. Cool Friday after heavy rains. Might be my last summer swim. Rain is predicted for much of the weekend. NYC beaches closed for Mon and Sun because of riptides. The sun is in and out today.....gorgeous.
I hope everyone had a great weekend. Soon it will be apple picking time!
Sam. Enjoy your family weekend. That is the best.
BTW. My granddaughter turned 4 yesterday. We took her to a maritime center, opened gifts, and capped the day with dinner and more gifts. It was glorious. She passed out on the way home, needless to say!

Sounds like a great Birthday adventure! 4 year olds are pretty fun. Well, some are anyway.
That is sad that the beaches are closed for the holiday weekend, but better safe than sorry.
I don't know why but when I think of the apple orchard I think of bees. (OMG do I have a bug phobia?)
I know that people love to go to the apple orchard here. They have a bakery there too & they have some pumpkin doughnuts everyone seems to love. Now that my Grand babies are older (2 1/2) I guess I will have to check out the apple orchard.

Zeke...I'll bet that 4 year had bundles of fun! So fortunate to have such a great grandma!
Sam...And those 2 1/2 year old twins are going to have a blast at the beach. I see sand castles in your future building techniques.
Too bad that they are closing the beaches though, zeke...I guess they expect really bad weather.
My BBQ plans are still on and luckily they will have 2 large tents, that will protect us from the rain, if it comes..
Have a nice evening everyone!
