Thursday, September 22

Writing this a little early.  My husband is back in the hospital and we're sitting here watching TV.  Finally know what's wrong with him after three admissions.  He has shingles on his brain!  He's tough though, and is doing better.  At this point, he just has to stay here to have the meds given by iv, if not for that we could go back home for the third time.  His eye and one side of his face is drooping a little, he was a very sick boy last week.  Everyone we talk to here, just about, has had them.  Wish I knew whether or not to recommend the vaccine.  What a hateful virus!  Never had a sinus infection.  Anyway, have a great day.  The weather is supposed to be nice again today, followed by rain in the evening and cooler temps.

Good evening and tomorrow morning Teluog

Good TV?

Shingles is some serious crap. I would recommend the vaccine. Did you both have chickenpox when you were little? My adult child had it a few years ago and it was horrible. Hateful virus is a perfect description!
Glad they finally figured out what is wrong with your husband. He has to be tough to go through all this. You have to be a tough one also to go through it with him

Good thoughts sent your way !  Enjoy the green jello LOL

Oh teluog, shingles? That is one serious virus. So sorry your husband has it. But at least you know what is wrong with him. Now he can get better. I have only known 2 people who got shingles & it was a long road to recovery but they are better now.

Sending positive vibes your way for a quick recovery. Your husband is so lucky to have you to help him recover.

Re: Thursday, September 22

Thank you!  It takes me a while to type on this kindle.  This is a small hospital, they let me share his room, will be home on Monday.  My son keeps me in supplies, we're thirty minutes from home.  Thank you so much for your kindness!  Still unbelievably warm out, guess it will change over the weekend.  I know my daughter in law is probably watching out for my flowers!   Have a nice day everyone!

Hey teluog and everyone..

so sorry to hear about your husband....you are so thoughtful to think about posting the morning hello...early...very nice.

Thank goodness they found out what it was...now he will at least be on the mend...and he has you to help him..

I'm thinking of asking my doctor about the vaccine when I go get my flu shot....My doctor recommends that I get the yearly flu shot because I suffer from allergies and he believes that will help me.

Take it easy and best regards to your husband....at least there is good stuff on TV now that the new season has started for the programs.

Keep us informed.....And Thanks!

Wow. Pretty, NE.
Teloug....thinking of you...give your husband our regards, ok? Please keep us posted.
Sam and Spunky. I have a pushy doctor who  love. I said yes to the shingles vaccine and the flu shot and he and his assistant came in armed with both needles. one on my left and the other on my right and they both gave me the shots because they knew if I left that day I wouldn't be back. They were right. But I am happy I got the shingles one and I recommend getting it. People who get shingles regret not getting the shot.
