Happy Tuesday Plan B Peeps!

We are having a warming trend for the next couple of days.  It is supposed to be 65 tomorrow!

Hard to believe Thanksgiving is next week. Does anyone have plans?  To be honest, I'd love to go out for Thanksgiving dinner for once. So much work in shopping & preparing all the food & then there's the clean up. 

I remember when I was a kid Thanksgiving was a joint effort.  My Mom's sisters all got together & cooked the food together & the clean up was actually a fun time because we all worked together.  Now it seems to be a one person endeavor with people bringing some dishes kind of potluck but the main cook does most of the work. The younger generation does not seem to help anymore, not even with the clean up. I have always thought that Thanksgiving was just a lot of work for women while the "menfolk" sit around & eat, drink & watch football.

I hope everyone is starting to lighten up about the election. It is what it is. I am very embarrassed and saddened by the election results but I have to move on.  I have to just let it go.  I am hoping for the best but prepared to be part of the resistance if (when) things take a turn for the worst.  I read an article that hate crimes against Muslim's are up 67% in America. That is exactly the kind of thing that makes my blood boil.  But I am waiting to see how Trump proceeds before I freak out.

Have a great day everyone & stay positive.  Let's enjoy the few weeks we have left with our amazing President & First Family. I am so proud of President Obama's tenure and all that he represents. I still remember the first inauguration party when he & Michelle danced to Beyoncé singing "At Last".  For me, that was a beautiful & inspiring moment in history.
