Note to Trumpsters:
In 2009, one of the first acts by President Obama was saving the United States auto industry, and with it, 1,500,000 jobs. If everyone remembers correctly, the Republican Party and the Conservative talk show hosts vilified Barak for this "bail out". Actually, it was a loan, which has been paid back to the taxpayers, with interest.

It is hard to believe that President Obama's second term is almost over.
It has been a great 8 years. I don't care what Republicans think, he did a great job. I am proud of all he has accomplished.  Just think how much more he could have gotten done if he had had more cooperation.

Carrier will keep just 850 US jobs, get $700,000 a year in tax breaks.
More than half the jobs will still leave the country, all while taxpayers hand Carrier a package of financial incentives.

My question is can a governor or president just dole out tax incentives to individual companies like that without it going through the legislative process?

Jones, president of the United Steelworkers 1999, which represents Carrier employees, felt optimistic when Trump announced last week that he’d reached a deal with the factory’s parent company, United Technologies, to preserve 1,100 of the Indianapolis jobs — until the union leader heard from Carrier that only 730 of the production jobs would stay and 550 of his members would lose their livelihoods, after all. 
“But he got up there,” Jones said Tuesday, “and, for whatever reason, lied his a-- off.”

“Trump and Pence, they pulled a dog and pony show on the numbers,” said Jones.
