The loser of the popular vote kicked off the speech by rereading all his responses to the protests in Charlottesville. While going over his widely criticized initial response, Trump omitted the most controversial part of the statement, in which he blamed “many sides” for the violence there.
The Duffer called out Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.). “We have to speak to Mitch” about eliminating the Senate filibuster, Trump said. (The filibuster was not a factor in stopping the Republican health care bill.) Earlier on Tuesday, The New York Times reported that Trump and McConnell have not spoken in weeks.
The Jerry Springer wanabee bragged about how he lives in a “bigger, more beautiful apartment” than the journalists who cover him.
Question: What do Trumpsters, WWE and Jerry Springer fans have in common?
Answer: Absolutely everything.
Der Furor defended his remarks on Charlottesville by saying he “hit” various racist groups.“I hit ’em with neo-Nazi, I hit ’em with everything,” he said. “I got the white supremacist, I got the neo-Nazi, I got ’em all in there. Let’s see. KKK? We have KKK. I got ’em all.”
Orange Foolius argued the media are “trying to take away our history, our heritage.”“The only thing giving a platform to these hate groups is the media itself and the fake news,” Trump said.
The cry baby suggested he’d shut down the government if it meant he could get a wall built along the U.S.-Mexico border.
“If we have to shut down that government, we’re building that wall,” Trump said. “One way or another, we’re going to get that wall.”
The biggest liar in the history of the presidency lied and said cameras at the rally were being turned off as live-streams of the speech on cable news networks continued to roll.
He specifically called out CNN, which aired Trump’s speech until the end.
The poster boy for bad hair lamented CNN’s firing of another guy with equally bad or worse hair Jeffrey Lord, a pro-Trump commentator formerly featured on the network. Lord was fired for tweeting the Nazi salute “Sieg Heil” earlier in August.
Donald Schicklgruber III praised Fox News and Sean Hannity.
The son of KKK member Fred Trump and Evangelical hero slammed both Republican Arizona senators: Jeff Flake, who has recently spoken out against Trump, and John McCain, who cast a pivotal vote that caused the GOP’s Obamacare repeal bill to flame out in the Senate in July. McCain is currently receiving treatment for brain cancer.
The "author" of "The Art of the Deal", who can't seem to make a deal suggested “we will probably end up terminating NAFTA at some point.”
(WIll that be after Mexico pays for the wall or after we win the war in Afghanistan?)
The subject of an FBI investigation for money laundering and colluding with a foreign government to influence the 2016 election teased a pardon for Joe Arpaio, the former sheriff of Maricopa County who was convicted of criminal contempt.
(Why? you may very well ask. Because Joe's really a good guy.)Last edited by DollyLongstaff (Today 8:09 am)

BUSTED! Trump supporters circulate photo of Phoenix rally crowds ... but it's not...
Ah social media is a glorious place. You see something, it looks cool, and so you retweet it.And sometimes that gets you into trouble.
Such was the case Tuesday night, when Tennessee Republicans and other supporters of President Donald Trump started sharing an image of what was purportedly a massive crowd gathered in the streets of Phoenix ahead of his speech.
Only problem? The photo is actually an aerial shot from the 2016 Cleveland Cavaliers parade. And frankly, anyone who is at all familiar with Phoenix should have known better. It's a desert people.
Official turnout figures from the Phoenix convention centre rally have not been released, but many have speculated they could be lower than expected.Images posted to social media appeared to show Trump supporters filling just half of the room.
Here's an angle from the opposite side of the room. #TrumpinPhx

As Trump ranted and rambled in Phoenix, his crowd slowly thinned
By Jenna Johnson August 23 at 6:55 AM
-snip-
Then Trump took the stage.
He didn't attempt to continue the carefully choreographed messaging of the night or to narrow the ever-deepening divide between the thousands of supporters gathered in the convention center hall before him and the thousands of protesters waiting outside.
Instead, Trump spent the first three minutes of his speech — which would drag on for 75 minutes — marveling at his crowd size, claiming that “there aren't too many people outside protesting,” predicting that the media would not broadcast shots of his “rather incredible” crowd and reminiscing about how he was “center stage, almost from day one, in the debates.”
-snip-
But as the night dragged on, many in the crowd lost interest in what the president was saying.
Hundreds left early, while others plopped down on the ground, scrolled through their social media feeds or started up a conversation with their neighbors. After waiting for hours in 107-degree heat to get into the rally hall — where their water bottles were confiscated by security — people were tired and dehydrated and the president just wasn't keeping their attention. Although Trump has long been the master of reading the mood of a room and quickly adjusting his message to satisfy as many of his fans as possible, his rage seemed to cloud his senses.
