Trump is now claiming the Access Hollywood tape is a fake...

Hours after the 2005 recording was released Oct. 7, 2016, then-candidate Trump made his first public statement about the comments, in which he said "when you're a star" women let men "do anything," including "grab them by the p----."

"Anyone who knows me knows these words don't reflect who I am. I said it, I was wrong and I apologize," Trump said in a video statement he released on his social media accounts that evening."I never said that I'm a perfect person, nor pretended to be someone that I'm not," he said at another point in the video.

(Everyone knows Trump apologizes for nothing. So why did he apologize if he never said those words?)

Melania Trump told CNN her husband was engaged in "boy talk, and he was led on - like, egged on - from the host to say dirty and bad stuff" in the conversation with "Access Hollywood" host Billy Bush.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders dodged multiple questions on Monday about whether President Trump has privately said that the infamous “Access Hollywood” recording of him is not authentic.

But Sanders on Monday would not answer questions asked whether Trump has since claimed that the tape could be fake.
(So what else is new?)

“The president hasn't changed his position,” Sanders said. “If anything the president questions, it’s the media's reporting on that accuracy.”
