donald trump is actually blaming Democrats for separating undocumented immigrant children from their parents.  One of his tweets urged people to put pressure on Democrats to "End the horrible law that separates children from their parents."  It's trump's own policies that are responsible for what's happening.  Rep. Ted Lieu (D-Calif.) asks if Melania Trump thinks separating toddlers from their Mothers is a "Be Best" policy, and asked her "Are you going to do anything about it."  A HHS official said the government was unable to locate nearly 1500 children who were released from their custody and relocated.  trump, the genius that he is, can't figure out a humane way of dealing with these families?  I think his "followers" are probably just fine with this.
