Why!!!   there is soooo much going on right now!  this always happens.

I don't know why The View, which is now classified as a news show would take a summer break! I understand that they need to take time off, but why should they all go at the same time? Is it because that's the only way everyone on staff can get time off in the summer? I just know they're missing big news stories.

I've been saying the same thing.  take turns with the vacation.  as it is, they all have a month off in the summer and full weeks at some of the holidays.  I know the staff needs off too, and maybe that's why they "shut down" but there is so much happening.  even if 2 of them would take off at a time or even 3 sometimes.  there are plenty of good guest hosts.  and yes, they are considered a news show...the entertainment shows, like Kelly and Ryan, don't shut down for that length of time.  They're only off at the same time for a week here or there.  They bring in guest hosts and the show goes on.   just curious...I don't watch it, but what does The Talk do?

Gosh, it seems like everyone took off the month of August. The roads have half the cars on them and towns are empty. From here, many go to Cape Cod. They say the island of Martha's Vineyard sinks 3 inches every August.

 
They come back after Labor Day in September.

I went to the ABC website and sent them an email recommending that they rotate vacations. won't make any difference but at least I'll feel better
