I agree that it is kind of petty, but I have to say that the GOP has reaped what it sowed. They went after others for their record in the Senate and that means these candidates are fair game for the same type of scrutiny and criticism.

So you're ok with those that go after Obama for his decisions and actions. He has spent plenty of time blaming the Republicans for things he has has done himself. He and the Dems can reap what they have sowed. Both sides do the same thing and it just goes around and around. No need to make excuses for the Dems.

I've never had a problem with people who have legitimate criticism of Obama's decisons. His actions are another discussion. I've seen him criticized for chewing gum and wearing jeans. So I'd say that's in the "reap what you sow' department of petty criticism. That level of insults reached a new low among the Republicans during Obama's admin.

And there it is again with the excuses and poor Obama, he's being picked on.

Wait now. How did this become about the Dems?   It is members of the GOP and Rubios opponents in the presidential race who are getting on him for not being there enough.  I don't think any dems have complained about it.  Obama has been bashed for everything and everything.  Many of the things he has been criticized for has been done by all his predecessors and it was never an issue until Obama has done it.  Right now Rubios opponents need something to criticize him for and that is all they have at this point.  It is nothing but a political ploy.

Seriously Need, 'how did this become about the Dem's'?   No, it wasn't the GOP or Rubio opponents in the race that brought this up, it was a newspaper in Florida.  And this became about Dems when some people make excuses for them while pointing fingers at Republicans.   Obama and every other President has been bashed for everything and anything, he's not special.    Bush was criticized for just as much as Obama but... poor Obama.

I do agree that the attack on Rubio is political ploy but it's not coming from the right, except last night when Bush tried to have a momment and failed.

It actually has nothing to do with Obama, but it seems some on the right can't help but blame him for everything. Obama and McCain were both criticized for missing time in the Senate and Rubio will just have to suck it up and take it. Pointing fingers at people who aren't even in the race and haven't campaigned for years isn't going to help him.

That being said, I don't think this issue is going to hurt him at all. He's very strong.

He's justified in bringing up Obama, McCain and Kerry.  There's a double standard and he pointed it out.   This same newspaper endorsed Obama in 2008.  Funny thing is, at this same time in Obama's Senate position he had less votes than Rubio.   O'Reilly had the paper's editor on last night and she couldn't explain the hypocrisy.
I do agree that this won't hurt him at all.  It was just fodder for the moderators last night.
