A quick note about the vaccine: You're going to see stories about people getting the virus after getting a vaccine.
Yes, you can still get the virus after getting the vaccine.
And remember that the 95% effectiveness is *only after the second shot*. And that 95% isn't 100%.
How do you guys feel about it?

I feel OK about it because I understand that this virus isn't just going to go away over night. I'll get the vaccine when it becomes available to me and I'll continue to wear my mask, wash my hands and social distance for as long as it takes. If the vaccine is 95% effective continuing to follow safety guidelines will prevent the spread of Covid.....I'm a very patient person.

It takes a while for the vaccine to work, some people are getting the virus before the shot takes effect. There is no virus in the shot like a regular vaccine. My cousin received her first shot a couple of days ago, a sore arm, nothing else.

Honestly, people are tossing around "herd immunity" as though it is the point at which we don't have to worry about it anymore.
(Or, the point that people can avoid getting the vaccine).
We reached herd immunity with many diseases long ago, but still have to take vaccines for them.
The goal here is for each of us to get vaccinated so that each of us is as immune as possible.
What do you guys think?

I'm a little bit nervous about getting the vaccine because I have a lot of allergies to food and everything else, not life threatening allergies, so far. I'm still getting the vaccine, but will follow advice from my doctor. We need 80-85 percent of the population around the world to get the vaccine in order for herd immunity, according to what I've heard.
