Trump has sunk to a new low in his efforts to stoke the fires of xenophobia and hate. Every single news station I have watched this morning is calling him out for outright lying in order to cause more widespread hysteria and anti-Muslim sentiment.

Trump claims that he personally watched thousands of people in New Jersey celebrating on 9/11 when the buildings were collapsing.

=16pxTrump first claimed to have seen the images of people cheering in New Jersey while speaking at a rally in Birmingham, Alabama on Saturday.

"I watched when the World Trade Center came tumbling down, and I watched in Jersey City, New Jersey where thousands and thousands of people were cheering as that building was coming down,” he said.

He went on to double down on the lie this morning.

"There were people that were cheering on the other side of New Jersey where you have large Arab populations,” he told George Stephanopoulos today on ABC’s “This Week.” "They were cheering as the World Trade Center came down. I know it might be not politically correct for you to talk about it, but there were people cheering as that building came down -- as those buildings came down, and that tells you something. It was well covered at the time.

=16pxWhile there were images of people cheering the towers’ collapse in parts of the Middle East, there is no record of such celebrations in New Jersey. There were some Internet rumors of Muslims=16px celebrating the towers’ fall in Paterson, New Jersey, but those rumors were discounted immediately by local police at the time.

This guy is the closest thing to Hitler we've ever seen.

but you know the GOP don't care about FACT. There point is to keep Ppl upset, and angry, furious and some just down right livid.

it's just so unbelievable to me how anyone can believed anything that come out of this man mouth, it's just amazing and what is incredible some Ppl really do believed this man.
have anyone notice every time he is asked "what would he do it; his reply is always “GOOD MANAGEMENT “

So true, Snapzz. Why do people just accept what he says and not look into it themselves? Same with the lie about the Syrian refugees mostly being able bodied males. Total bullshit.

And you're right about his vague answers. It's always good management with no specifics. And that's the GOP's number one pick right now. It must be a good time to be Hillary.

Thanks for posting this Shiny. I too heard him say this to GS this morning and wondered if it was true.

I don't think he cares if it is true or not. However, his supporters likely believe it is true. Wish GS would follow up and prove again that Trump is just spouting more anti-Islamic hate.

Also noticed that when GS corrected him on his comment that there are more men refugees than women and children he had nothing to say.

I saw the same interview, and just about everything he said today was a lie! Does anyone else notice that so many on the right love to call Obama a liar all the time, but yet never seem to be able to "see" their candidates lying? Funny how that works, ah?

Two things coming out about Trump today.
1.He won't promise not to run independently if he's not the GOP nominee.
2. He approves of his "fans" roughing up a protester.

I am no longer surprised by those that support Trump. It is time that America gets honest with itself & acknowledges that there is a part of our society that is racist, misogynistic, bigoted & beyond fearful. They are not concerned with truth, but respond to who or what can & will validate their fears. I believe the old conservative ways are in their death throes & we are seeing some real ugly hate with it. I hope this is the crescendo before the fall & a new more rational conserve emerges. Hey, I can dream.

Good question, esm.

I just read that several of the networks (ABC, CNN, NBC, FoxNews, and CBS) are having a conference call this afternoon regarding how their reporters are being treated at Trump events. Some reporters are saying that they have been ordered back to the "media pen" whenver there was a protest, or when they tried to interview people attending his rallies. There is also the issue of the Trump camp not allowing certain media outlets any credentials at all.

Should be interesting to see what they decide to do, if anything.
