At least 3 children and 3 adults killed in Nashville elementary school shooting

Three 9-year-old children and three adults are dead after a shooting Monday at the Covenant School, a private Christian elementary school in Nashville, Tennessee, police said.
The shooter, described as a 28-year-old from Nashville, entered the building through a side door and was armed with at least two assault-style rifles and a handgun, police said.
The shooter, who police believe was once a student at the school, was killed during gunfire with police, authorities said.
Monday's shooting marked the 129th mass shooting in the US so far in 2023, according to data from the Gun Violence Archive.

In a statement sent by Bryan Chapell of the Presbyterian Church in America expressed the church's condolences to the victims of the Covenant School shooting.

“Our heartfelt concerns and prayers are for the families of Covenant Presbyterian Church, the Covenant School and the Nashville community.

We grieve the loss and trauma associated with this horrible tragedy. May God comfort all who mourn. May He provide wisdom to the authorities as they investigate as well as to the church leadership as they minister to a grieving congregation and community.”

Covenant School was founded as a ministry of the Covenant Presbyterian Church, according to its website. The church is part of the Presbyterian Church in America.

Reporters asked him this morning WHY he would pose his family ALL holding guns and his response was
"I HAVE NO REGRETS ABOUT THE PICTURE"

129 mass shootings so far this year...and March isn't even over yet. That's more than 1 mass shooting per day.

What the hell is happening in this country??!!

They are holding M15 rifles like the military rifles: designed to tear apart a body….not even used for hunting. Why would anyone want one? A question to be pondered.
