It is a strong Hurricane that could cause loss of life and properties

The hurricane will undergo rapid intensification until it makes landfall as a strong Category 3 hurricane in the Big Bend region of Florida on Wednesday. 

 Depending on how long the hurricane is able to stay over the extremely warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico, it’s not out of the question Idalia could come ashore as a Category 4 hurricane.
