This surprises me, what do you all think?

Scot Peterson, the Broward County deputy who is being accused of failure to act during the Parkland school shooting has been charged.  He could spend the rest of his life in prison because of it.  I know his failure to act is disturbing, he is a deputy though, not a seasoned police officer.  What does everyone think about this?  I saw the parent of one of the children on CNN, she wants him in jail.  We're going to send someone who possibly freezes, in the line of duty, to prison now for inaction?

My guess is because he chose a 'Law Enforcement' career....he should have done something to try to stop the shooter before he killed 17 kids... He also tried to stop other officers when they attempted to go in to try to do something.

I guess that is why they hold him responsible....

This makes me feel bad. I just can't favor one or the other side. Guess this is why they have courts.
