Cheer up!
You could be living in Michigan...Flint, Michigan to be exact.
In case you haven't heard, Flint's water supply is riddled with lead and the mayor has issued a state of emergency due to a man-made disaster.
The man-made disater developed after the city began using the Flint River as its short-term drinking water source while it was being run by a state-appointed emergency manager.
Apparently, Michigan's governor, Richard Dale "Rick" Snyder ( politician, business executive, venture capitalist, accountant and member of the Republican party, thought it was a great way to balance the budget and save money.
Obviously balancing the budget and saving money is more important than peoples' lives.
Isn't that always the way with Republicans?

Ignore the environment until it's so poisoned it starts killing people. Yep, that sounds about right. For the future of this wave, see: fracking.

Don't even get me started on fracking. What is wrong with Republicans? Why do they not care about our environment? They say wind turbines are noisy & kill birds. Have you ever seen an oilfield?
Take it even further & pretend Climate Change isn't an important issue. Heck it's made up by the Liberal Loons anyway!

The part I can't get is that a simple test of the water would show how much lead was in it and the powers that be didn't care.

Republicans value money first, people second.

I am very nervous about the effects of that lead on the children and pregnant women who consumed that water. I can't even let my brain go there.

This governor is universally disliked by people who couldn't find anything else in common if their Red Wings tickets depended on it.

There was an article on reddit today saying that some peole are calling for the Governor to be arrested and charged over this.

I think he should be arrested! He intentionally put money before ppl & now the ppl are suffering that decision. He needs to be held accountable on some level.

I agree. He should be held accountable.
