Ted Cruz Can't Afford Health Insurance
Because Obamacare.
Mrs. Cruz has taken time off of work to help her husband run for President; which means she has lost the family health insurance coverage from her job.
Understandably, Ted, who claims he and his wife put up all their savings to fund his campaign (with a tiny little loan from "sweet heart's" bosses at Goldman Sachs, $1,000,000 to be exact, which Ted accidentally forgot to report) hasn't the means to pay insurance premiums for his wife and children.

BTW Ted IS a Senator.
Like other large employers, the government pays a large share of the cost of coverage. On average, the government pays 72 percent of the premiums for its workers, up to a maximum of 75 percent depending on the policy chosen. For example, the popular Blue Cross and Blue Shield standard fee-for-service family plan carries a total premium of $1,327.80 per month, of which the beneficiary pays $430.04. Washington, D.C.-based employees who prefer an HMO option might choose the Kaiser standard family plan. It carries a total premium of $825.15 per month, of which the employee pays only $206.29.

In a reversal from claims made on the campaign trail, Ted Cruz's presidential campaign is now saying the senator and his family do have health insurance and never lost coverage. The late night Friday revelation came more than 24 hours after Cruz had told a New Hampshire audience that he and his family were without health insurance and were scrambling to obtain new coverage--and used the claim to slam Obamacare for the mess he was in.
