Megyn Kelly: Trump Tried to Woo Me Before Running for President
Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump "would send me press clippings about me" and "called from time to time to compliment a segment" on "The Kelly File" before he announced his run for the White House, Megyn Kelly says.
In an expansive interview with Vanity Fair, the Fox News host, who sparked a bitter feud with Trump after using her first question at the first Republican presidential debate on Aug. 6 to accuse him of making a host of sexist and demeaning comments about women, says Trump tried to win her over to no effect.
"[H]e would send me press clippings about me that he would just sign 'Donald Trump,'" Kelly told the magazine. "And he called from time to time to compliment a segment. I didn't know why he was doing that. And then when he announced that he was running for president, it became more clear."
"But I can't be wooed. I was never going to love him, and I was never going to hate him."
As she read the research on the individual candidates compiled by Fox News before the debate, Vanity Fair reports, "a couple of themes began to emerge" for her in Trump's file.
"The one that hadn't been explored was his sexism," Vanity Fair's Evgenia Peretz writes. "Knowing that if Hillary [Clinton] were to be the [Democrat] nominee she'd hit him with that issue, Kelly had her first question."
"I wrote it. I researched each line item myself," Kelly told Peretz. "It was interesting to me after the debate when people started fact-checking my question. My own reaction was 'Bring it on.' You think I'd go out there and ask a question like that at the first G.O.P. debate without making sure I was bulletproof on every single word?"

Megyn Kelly is a professional. As a woman, I am particularly happy that she took him to task for his treatment of women. I am also happy that Fox News is supporting her views.
Never thought I'd compliment Fox News.

It is weird watching two racists go head to head. Ummm which racist does one root for?

As everyone on this board knows, I'm no fan of FOX (LOL!).
However, IMO, Megyn Kelly is an educated woman and handles herself in a very professional way.
She's made some "boo boos" ("Santa is white" for example) but I always admired how she took on the establishment at FOX the night Obama won his second term.

Trump Praised Megyn for Debate Moderating in 2011: ‘Great Job,’ ‘I Could Never Beat You’
Back in late 2011, Trump sat down with Kelly and talked about hosting a Republican debate. Yep, for those who don’t remember, back in 2011 Trump floated the idea of him moderating a Newsmax Republican debate because “I know the issues better than most.” (That debate didn’t actually end up happening.)
He said that there are a lot of debate moderators who don’t know anything about the big issues America faces.
Kelly asked, “Do you really think you’re a better moderator than I am?”
Trump responded, “No, I could never beat you. That wouldn’t even be close. That would be no contest. You have done a great job, by the way, and I mean it.”

There should be a new interpretation added to the dictionary under the word hypocrite, Republican. No matter what they accuse someone else of, they've done the same or worse themselves. They can't keep track of all the ridiculous things they've said, there are so many of them.

Kelly Warned That Obama Plans To Force Communities That Are "Too White [And] Too Privileged" To Embrace Diversity. On the June 11, 2015 edition of Fox News' The Kelly File, Megyn Kelly warned that the Obama administration plans to force "too white [and] too privileged" communities to embrace diversity "whether the communities want it or not"
Kelly Criticized First Lady's Commencement Speech Because It Pandered To "Culture Of Victimization." On the May 20 edition of Fox News' The Kelly File, Megyn Kelly criticized First Lady Michelle Obama's commencement speech at the historically black Tuskegee University, arguing her recollection of racial discrimination played into a "culture of victimization." Kelly added that discussing racial discrimination is the norm in "Cupcake Nation, that's what we're turning into." [Fox News, The Kelly File, 5/20/15]
Kelly: White House Ignored Kate Steinle's Murder Because "They Didn't Riot, They Didn't Protest In The Street" Or "Burn Anything." On the July 13 edition of Fox News' The Kelly File, Megyn Kelly suggested that the Obama administration chose to ignore Kate Steinle's murder by an undocumented immigrant because there weren't riots or protests like those that happened after the deaths of black Baltimore resident Freddy Grey while in police custody, and Michael Brown, an unarmed black man in Ferguson, MO., by a white police officer. "If you take a civilized route, the respectful, quiet, sad objectioning route, you get ignored," added Kelly. [Fox News, The Kelly File, 7/13/15]
Kelly: "I'd Like To Know The Proof" That Race Had Anything To Do With The Deaths Of Several Black People Killed By White Police Officers. On the December 4, 2014 edition of Fox News' The Kelly File, Kelly discussed nationwide protests in the wake of the deaths of Eric Garner and Michael Brown and asked several times for "evidence" that the deaths of Garner and Brown had "anything to do with race."
Kelly Dismissed DOJ Ferguson Report Findings By Suggesting That Racist Emails Circulate At Most Companies. During the March 9 edition of The Kelly File, Kelly downplayed a Department of Justice report that found racial bias and stereotyping in the Ferguson, Missouri Police Department. Kelly said it is unfair to "tar the entire organization" because "there are very few companies in America, whether they are public or private" where "you won't find any racist emails [or] any inappropriate comments." [Fox News, The Kelly File, 3/10/15]
Kelly Used Ann Coulter's Book To Defend Trump's Anti-Immigrant Comments. On the June 29 edition of The Kelly File, Kelly cited Ann Coulter's inflammatory anti-immigrant book, Adios, America, to push back on criticism of Donald Trump's comments that the Mexican government had sent "murderers" and "rapists" to the United States. According to Kelly, Coulter's data "support[s] the fact that some obvious immigrants who come across the borders do turn out to be criminals"
Kelly Devoted 45 Segments Over A Two-Week Period Fanning The Flames Of Discredited Account Of Voter Intimidation. During the summer of 2013, Kelly repeatedly tried to scandalize an investigation about a New Black Panther Party member who stood outside a polling station on Election Day 2012, allegedly intimidating voters. Kelly claimed that her sources would shed light on the Obama administration's "decision to not pursue serious charges against members of the New Black Panther Party" and that "politics and race" were potentially to blame. Megyn Kelly is as big, if not bigger, a bully as DT.

Hi Brave!
I totally agree...They deserve each other......It could be their master plan....in order to bolster both of their lying, racists views.
And thanks Vantro for posting that post above, about her crooked views...it pays to be informed.

My thanks as well Vantro. An informed citizen is an informed voter and we need them more now than ever before.
Truly think that MK and DT have a strong dislike for each other but doubt they have a master plan. They are just two bullies and not smart enough to develop a master plan.
