Love Queen Bey!
Some people just don't get "artistic expression".
Sorry the tickets are so expensive. I believe it has a lot to do with the venue, just look how expensive it is to go to a NFL game. A lot of the tickets are brokered for modern day scalping IMO. Alas, I can't afford it either. But I did love the half time show. The dance-off with Bruno Mars & Beyoncé was great. Bruno Mars won hands down! (Sorry Bey, love you though LOL). That's who I would like to see in concert, Bruno Mars! Talk about a great entertainer!!

Hi Sam and you are right some people just don't get artistic expression, and the venue is the new ford field, and if tickets will be scalp they would be more expensive that ticket price that is 150 would go for anywhere from 300-500. I also liked the half time show it was great and Bruno did his thing for sure one of the better half-time show to me.
I don't think his tickets will be that expression, well let me say I would hope not lol

I think most of us do get artistic expression but we also get using your artistic medium to make a political statement and that what many protest. She used her platform on the Super Bowl to tout support of BLM. I think that is what many are upset about.

She has a right to support BLM. Not sure why so many are not more tolerant. The woman is Black, why wouldn't she support it? It was her half time show and she used her voice to support a cause that means a lot to some Black Americans and other Americans as well.
Did you guys see the skit on SNL about the day "Beyoncé Turned Black"? Hysterical!

I saw the superbowl show and I didn't notice what she was doing, I thought she was emulating Michael Jackson...even her outfit looked like something he wore. I really liked the show especially Bruno Mars.
But she hasn't denied it....so I guess its true....everyone believes in something, I guess this was her way of expressing her view.
Many have come out in support of BLM....she's one of many.
I think All lives matter....BLM started because so many people justified the wrongful killing of many black youths and they wanted attention brought to the forefront on how wrong this was.

Of course she has the right to support any cause she wants to but I think people were upset that the Super Bowl half time show was used by Beyoncé as a platform for BLM. People just wanted to be entertained and I think at this point many people are looking for a break from politics and issues of this country.

While I do agree that all lives matter, many people just don't understand what BLM actually means. It doesn't mean that only black lives matter. Some people try to claim that & then go on about all lives matter. It is just a phrase used to express the feeling that many blacks experience , that their life does not matter. That someone like Trayvon Martin is murdered & then automatically he is described as a thug by so many. People who don't know what the hell happened went on for months calling Trayvon Martin a thug who was using skittles & Snapple iced tea to make drugs. Black men/children are often vilified whenever a discussion takes place.
I think that Black Americans do not have a big platform to speak this message. They are often shut out from any major discussion. Beyoncé has a lot of power & clout. I applaud her for taking the chance to speak out about something that is a part of her heritage. Being that it is Black History Month makes it even more appropriate.

Great Post Sam!
And I agree...many people don't understand the true meaning of BLM... until now. I believe many people should look at it as bringing black lives to everyone's attention.
But ALL lives do matter..Black, White, Asian, hispanic....etc The Black community is now standing up to bring attention to their cause...by using BLM as their slogan. And many of the stars are trying to help everyone understand that. It shouldn't be looked at as something negative.

Hi needtosay, you are right she did, but I don't see why people was upset she was paid to performance and it is up to her on what her performance would be jmo

With Trayvon Martin one has to look at the whole thing. The fact is he had made it all the way to the home he was staying at but then he chose to turn back and go find Zimmerman. His friend that he was on the phone with testified that he told her he was home so he had to have doubled back to get to where the altercation happened. The only reason he would have to go back to find Zimmerman was to confront him. Had he gone into the home he was staying at instead he wouldn't have died that night.

when it come to Zimmerman, it was just a lot of lie's that was told and his so call friends and family help tell the lies, if any one of them would have told the truth about who Zimmerman really was, he may not have walked away. jmo

I know that when my Son was 16ish he would defend himself with some guy following him around. Kids can be foolish in that way. Zimmerman was a wanna be cop. He was told by the Police dispatcher not to approach the boy in a hoodie (Trayvon) yet he did just that. He had a gun & thought he found a "Thug". Then when Treyvon defended himself, Zimmerman used the gun to kill a young, innocent boy. He may have been a big boy, but he was a boy all the same. Then those on the Right started vilifying him & tried to make him into a drug using thug. This is one of the reasons BLM formed because it often seems that whenever there is black person killed with questionable circumstances, people on the Right like to vilify the Black person without fail.

My conclusions and the courts conclusions were largely made based on witnesses put on by the prosecution. The girl he was on the phone gave some very revealing facts and then the there was that crazier than a loon medical examiner. The clincher for me was the fact that he made it all the way home and then turned back to go confront Zimmerman. That was pretty much proven with Trayvon's friend's testimony and a timeline put together by the defense. I really don't think the friends and family of Zimmerman who testified on his behalf really had any effect on the ruling.

Zimmerman did not approach the kid. He did follow him for a while but Trayvon managed to loose him and made it all the way home when he chose to go back and confront Zimmerman. He approached Zimmerman not the other way around.

OK Needs. Not going to argue with you. I do not believe that narrative. If Zimmerman had not been acting like a wanna be cop, he would not have followed Trayvon to begin with. If he had went back to his truck, like he was told, Trayvon would be alive today.
This is exactly why BLM was formed. Some believe justice was not served.

I agree with you about Zimmerman following Trayvon. He should not have done that but the rest was proven in court. The prosecutions witness even testified to it.
