Bristol Loses Custody Battle

Single mom (twice) Bristol Palin lost her seven-year custody battle with her ex-fiancé, Levi Johnston.

Johnston announced the news on Wednesday, saying the $100,000 in legal fees was worth it to have joint custody of his 7-year-old son, Tripp, with Bristol Palin.

“I’m so happy to have my son in my life, and to put all this back in (sic) forth in the courts behind me,” Johnston said.

Johnston, 25, labeled by "Mama Grizzley" as a "DEAD BEAT DAD", admitted he still owes child support after shelling out a pretty penny for the custody battle.

“Although I do owe some back child support, altogether I have paid $50,000 in child support for Tripp, which is $600 a month, since Tripp’s birth so at the end of the day I know I have worked hard to meet my obligations as a father.”

What happened to that $262,500 "Abstinence Only" money Bristol "earned" from Candies?

Re: Bristol Loses Custody Battle

In all honesty a fathers responsibility to his child is not absolved because the child's mother earns some money.  Joint custody is the way it is going more and more these days and I think that is good for the kids.

No matter how educated, talented, rich, or cool you think you are, how you treat people tells us all.  Integrity is everything.

That being said, Bristol was the one against joint custody.

If Levi was the parent earning more money, should he have the right to deny Bristol (the child's mother) joint custody because she wouldn't or couldn't pay up?
