Gun Rights Activist Accidentally Shot By Her 4 Year Old Son.
Yup!Yesterday, Jamie Gilt's four-year-old had access to her gun in the backseat of her car, while she was driving, and shot her. She's in stable condition. (Physically, maybe? Mentally no!)
First of all, gratitude that no one was killed. She could have died, lost control of her car and killed an oncoming driver, it could have been her child shooting himself. So many horrible outcomes.
And yes, the irony of a gun rights gal getting shot by her child? I hope the public shame wakes her up.
The deeper irony is, she might lose custody of her child over this.
(Let's hope, but I doubt it.)
But will she lose her guns? (Doubt that too.)

A loaded gun in the car with a child, a real genius.

How the hell is a "gun rights activist" so stupid as to leave a loaded gun where a child could pick it up?
I do hope she temporarily loses custody of her child. She is lucky he didn't lose his life.

Is this one of those "responsible" gun owners the NRA is always going on about? I know this is going to sound harsh, but at least she was the one that got hurt & not her child. Believe it or not luck was on her side. She could have died or worse could be living with the thought of her irresponsibly being the death of her child.
And Dolly you present a very real scenario of,
" The deeper irony is, she might lose custody of her child over this.
(Let's hope, but I doubt it.)
But will she lose her guns? (Doubt that too.)"
Unfortunately that point is never discussed, because logic escapes ppl.

Will she learn from this?..I doubt it....That child will live with what he did for the rest of his life...
I hope that they remove him from her custody. Let her keep her guns.
