Donald Trump from the beginning of his campaign six months ago,  said a hundred times, words to the effect, “Everyone running for the nomination is on the take from contributors.These contributors don’t give money for nothing, because they can  then call the shots.  I know since I’ve given to most of them, including those on the stage with me.But, I’m different.  I’m self funding, so I don’t need to take money from special interestslike pharmaceutical companies or military contractors".

Mr. Trump, will you continue to refuse contributions if you are the nominee running for the general election.

Trump: I haven’t decided whether or not to accept contributions.
