President Obama is getting heat from Republicans because he didn't rush back to DC following the terror attack in Brussels.
Worse yet, he was photographed attending a baseball game, carrying on his historic trip as planned.
The President believes that the point of terrorism is to disrupt lives, and he didn’t want to play into that.
On August 29, 1983, two U.S. Marines were killed in Lebanon, the first American combat fatalities during the operation that would eventually culminate in the October 23, 1983 bombing of a U.S. barracks in Beirut that killed 241 U.S. servicemen.
Reagan’s response to these killings, and the wounding of 14 other U.S. Marines, was to stay on vacation.
As in prior instances, the Reagan administration stated "that there’s nothing the President could do at the White House that couldn’t be done elsewhere via telephone."
According to the Reagan Presidential Library, though, the Gipper did find time to speak “by telephone with members of the White House staff to discuss the situation in Lebanon,” after which he called the Marietta, Georgia 1983 Little League World Series champions.
Did I mention that President Obama IS NOT on vacation, he's on official business.

As usual, Republican critics are ignoring the long precedence of GOP Presidents not responding instantly to every tragedy – with some even finishing out their vacations. President Ronald Reagan, the darling of conservatives, remained at his ranch while Hurricane Alicia pounded the state of Texas, killing 21.
Reagan also continued his vacation at his ranch in Santa Barbara when a Soviet Su-15 shot down Korean Airlines Flight 007 in 1983, killing all 289 aboard – including sixty-two American citizens and Representative Larry McDonald (D-GA).
The Soviet Union claimed that the plane was spying in restricted airspace and was a provocation by the West. The incident could have potentially caused an international conflict – but FOX’s Chris Wallace recounts that “quite frankly he didn’t want to leave.
And his advisers realized how terrible this looked, and eventually persuaded him he had to fly back to Washington and had to give this speech to the nation, but it did take him four days.”
Only after CBS released photos of Reagan on horseback did the President return to Washington.

Terrorist bombs explode and the President basically says "f*ck it"???? Really?
So a terrorist act occurs. Bombs explode. Innocents are killed. Confusion and fear abound. And where's the fucking president????
Here's an account from the WaPo from shortly after the Marine barracks in Beirut came down:The Washington Post, 9/4/83 — At this point, Speakes was interrupted and asked if Reagan was going back to Washington. He ignored the question and read a statement on the Middle East. Asked again if Reagan was going back to Washington, Speakers answered, “There are no plans for the president to return to Washington earlier than anticipated.”
Oh wait. I'm sorry. That was St. Ronald.

REAGAN OPTICS, October 22, 1983 — Reagan remained on vacation at the Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia. Repeat: golf resort. Here are three strikingly presidential photos from Augusta — the golf resort! First, Reagan in his jammies being briefed on the Grenada plans, then, later hitting the links.

Simply put...people are full of shit! We all know that if Obama takes a bathroom break without congressional approval he is a dictator. Republicans have become so predictable that I know what they will rant about before FOX or Limbaugh gives the marching orders for the day. It is actually quite creepy how on I am lol!
Pretty sad how the party is so flippin' stubborn that they just keep doing the same failures over & over, but remain confused as to why the party is where it is. Personally I could not be happier with the state of the Republican party right now. We can now finally sort the rational from the insane...::cough:: Mitch McConnell.

The United States this week killed a top Islamic State commander in Syria as part of a spate of military actions targeting the terrorist group’s leadership and explosives caches, Defense Secretary Ashton B. Carter said on Friday.
The killing of a top commander, Abd al-Rahman Mustafa al-Qaduli, who is also known by other names, comes as the United States is having increased success targeting the Islamic State’s leadership.
Last week, Defense Department officials concluded that American strikes had killed the group’s minister of war, Omar al-Shishani.
“We are systematically eliminating ISIL’s cabinet,” Mr. Carter said at a news conference, using an acronym for the group.
