This Takes The Cake
Another wanabe writer "wacamole" posted a new story over at the nest.
I'm must say, it's no "Tale of Two Cities", but from what I read, it's much more readable (for adults) than micha's "enchanted forest " saga.
Anyhoo, Iggoz and supposedly Keep have their "depends" soaked over the fact that horror of horrors, their husband's names are all over the internet now.
Yup, Iggoz 's company, neighbors and most especially her hubby are furious that wacamole made identity known to the entire world.
I have to go back and read through the entire story.
Not sure whose hubby is whose.
One's name is John and the other is an old fart named Burt.
Taking bets on whose huband is the "old fart".

Now I know where the vitriol is coming from.
It's a case of art imitating life.
As it turns out Iggoz's marriage is "on the rocks" as she suspects her hubby's been stepping out on her.
A minx from their Monopoly club?
Iggoz thought no one knew there was trouble in paradise until wacamole worked it into her story, sort of a roman a clef but with real names.
Now it's all over cyberspace.

There lies the rub.
Was it just a coincidence that she got Iggoz's husband's name right?
Was it just coincidence that Iggoz had company the night she discovered the story?
Why is Iggoz's husband so upset about his name being all over the internet? After all, there are a million Johns or Burts or old farts with wives named Iggoz.
Is he afraid his secret lover's husband will find out?

I could be wrong, but didn't wacomole get busted on the vmb for having multiples? Again, I could so be wrong & if so my apologies, because I can no longer keep up with this stuff. I also missed whatever happened when ppl were frequenting another MB & the vmb & all hell broke loose. I only saw the vmb fallout on that. A lot of posters got called out then & that is what I am recalling...I think.

I just skimmed it.
Wacamole asked permission to use Burgo's and my name, which we gladly granted as we both support fledgling writers.
zeke, I don't know how long you were on the original View board, but about six years ago I began posting my stories there; Micha attempted (and failed IMO*) to follow in my footsteps on the VRB
I may go thorough my files and see if I can bring any of them up.
* I mean that in that in the kindest possible way.

Think all that stuff going on over there is for real or is it fake drama? Those guys love stirring the pot. They've done that before.....feigned discord and then did a "gotcha" thing. April 1st is right around the corner and they are still communicating on 5th grade level.
