Patty Duke Dead At 69
Former child star Patty Duke has died at the age of 69. Duke’s manager confirmed her death to The Huffington Post in a statement.
Anna “Patty Duke” Pearce passed away this morning March 29, 2016 at 1:20 a.m. Her cause of death was sepsis from a ruptured intestine. She was a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a friend, a mental health advocate and a cultural icon. She will be greatly missed.

I always thought it was amazing that she won an Oscar at the age of 12 for her portrayal of Helen Keller in The Miracle Worker, then went on to win an Emmy later in life for her portrayal of Anne Sullivan in a TV production of The Miracle worker.
I also loved the Patty Duke Show as a child. I never knew Patty had such a rough life till I read her bio today. She was a survivor though.
