I miss Dolly. Needing my daily dose of Dolly posts. I have to say....whenever I have only a minute to spare here, Dolly's posts are the ones I look for first after the morning thread. No offense anybody but Dolly is not only informative but funny and always on the cutting edge.

Totally agree zeke.
I don't know where he finds that stuff, but I look forward to his posts every morning.
I am not much of a thread starter. I am busy during the day & Dolly's posts keep me informed as well as entertained.

Braveone........I know you from the VMB. I don't quite understand your change of heart. Dolly is Dolly and I am grateful for that. You don't post often and I miss your posts. But it seems that when you DO post there is an edge. Vive la difference!! Let Dolly be Dolly and if you post we will post with you too. This is a nice pleasant MB...no fighting.
So...are you going back to your usual vaca location this summer? Where is it again?

Dolly helps keep this board going. He doesn't keep anyone else from starting their own posts, I don't even know why it matters who starts the posts, as long as we all join in, or not, if we're not interested in the subject. I've seen a few posts on Shiny, does anyone know where she's been, if it's alright to ask? I usually come here first thing in the morning for the latest news, then I'm usually busy through the day and try to check back in at night. I'm sure we all have busy lives to live.

Yes Dolly does a lot to keep this MB going & most of us get Dolly. I hope we did not scare Dolly off, because that would be a shame.

I hope he's just showing us what the board would be like without him, not much action. Dolly, you aren't going to let anyone chase you off of this board are you? You better just be on vacation in some exotic spot where there are no forms of communication and you just can't get to us to post.

Awesome news! Dolly PM'd me to say he will be back soon.
He wanted to give everyone a chance to start a few threads. He thought we should rise to Vantros challenge. I think we have done a good job, don't you.
Also Dolly got a new stove & he is doing some extensive cleaning. I really need to do some Spring cleaning myself. But I'd rather pay someone to do it!

Great news Sam!...I miss Dolly...he always makes me smile! Love his threads!
Gotta do some spring cleaning too...not today though...

OK on Monday we are all challenged to post a topic without repeating. One topic each. Dolly I know you are full of fun, interesting & thought provoking topics, but on Monday could you post just one or two at the start? If we do not post a topic you want to discuss feel free to go wild! I think this forum prevents a lot of OP from being seen, unless you click on the entire catergory. I have been guilty of just looking at the index & not looking at the full category. I miss a lot. So what says all?
Vantro I totally get what you are saying, thats why I don't post too often, oh well back to the other board for awhile. have a great day all !

Great news. Sam thanks for sharing. I hope we all post more often. It was nice to see lots of people chime in. I am so so happy Dolly will soon be back. He just tickles me so.

Hi zeke!
Thanks for your response. You are right, I need to let Dolly just be Dolly, Vive la difference!
I don't post often because there really are no posts to respond to other than those from Dolly. While I appreciate the intended humor, the satire and what I see as inappropriate cartoons are of no interest to me and just piss me off. I do however see your point and should do a better job of just ignoring!
Yes, we are planning summer vacation on Martha's Vineyard again and I can't wait. Have not picked a date yet but probably in early August. Are you planning a trip?

Hi Braveone,
We usually do MV (Oaks Bluff) but we have a granddaughter with a heart problem and for now it's too risky to be on an island of any kind. We'll go somewhere. I was and am still looking into Cuba. (another island but not for the granddaughter) I hear great things and I want to go before all the hotel chains get there. Starwood/Marriot already have stakes down. The only negative I heard was about the food. We might try an Air B&B to save money but I think even the hotels are reasonable. We'll see. Looking at a lot of things but honestly, just not working and doing day trips works for me....as long as I see some ocean.
Have fun at MV.

Zeke,
I remember that you have a granddaughter with a heart problem and understand why you would not go too far, particularly to an island where getting off in an emergency could be a problem.
Cuba sounds amazing. I had the opportunity to visit Cuba, before restoring full diplomatic relations, when my young sister was rowing for Northeastern University and they were competing with the Cuban women's rowing team. Each US student was required to be accompanied by a guardian and I was hers. It was an amazing opportunity even though the Cuban women's team beat us. Would love to go back to Cuba!
A staycation with day trips also sound great providing it is by the ocean

Yes.......NY actually has beautiful ocean fronts. I am sure you know that. I think you lived here at one time?
Long Island has great beaches and the LI Sound is gorgeous too. Then there is upstate NY. Letchworth State Park is number one in the country according to USA Today. 6 hrs north but worth the trip.
We'll see. I will appreciate anything as long as I don't have to work.
