I had no idea she was 90! She looked great!
We are losing some really great ones this year & we aren't even halfway through the year!

Oh no, I was hoping when I saw the heading that it wasn't going to be about her passing. Loved her as the sweet 'n' sour mother-in-law. Hate to see good shows end and that was one of them. Now Mike and Molly. Just great shows full of laughs. Sorry to hear this.

I was surprised as well.We do seem to be losing too many too fast, maybe it is because we are all getting older.

I was so sad to read of Doris Robert's passing.
She was my favorite part of Everybody loves Raymond. I too had no idea she was 90.
She was in a stoner movie in 2006 called Grandma's Boy. She was hilarious. Really, I loved her in anything she was in.

Awww...I was at my cousin's funeral today. He was 96. Good life. Just getting online and seeing this thread and I was hoping it wasn't about Ms. Roberts' passing. I think/hope she had a good life too. See you in the reruns, Ms. Roberts.

Sorry for your loss Zeke. Wow 96!
Sam, all three of the older ladies were hilarious in Grandma's Boy! Mrs. Partridge!

I agree!
They were all great. But Shirley Jones was fabulous. Momma Partridge still got it!

I was so sad to hear Miss Roberts had passed away. She certainly was an amazing actress! Loved watching her in many tv shows and movies, but I especially enjoyed her as Marie Barone on Everybody Loves Raymond. I love this show so much, that I'd even watch episodes on my tablet while I'm cooking in the kitchen, and then later in the evening before I go to bed.

I know what you mean DG. Everybody Love's Raymond never gets old. Marie has always been my favorite character on that show. Doris made the meddling Mother-in-law quite loveable and definitely laughable. I really loved everything Doris was in. She was one of a kind.

Thanks Vantro and Spunky. He had a good life.
Love ELR. Whenever I am down I go to Channel 34 (where I live) and zone out. ELR and King of Queens. I never watched them when they were new so I see many show that are new to me.
One of my favorites is the one with brother Robbie dancing with his partner in a nightclub. (Sherry Shepard!)
I actually know someone named Robbie Burrone. Lol.

she was such a talent! She was probably best known for Marie Barrone but I remember her in lots of other shows. Years ago she played a homeless woman who had to have her legs amputated in one of the hospital shows (ER maybe...or was it as far back as St Elsewhere?) It was a dramatic role and she was excellent. She will really be missed!

Hey Cossy, she was on Greys Anatomy as Gladys Pulcher --"Alex treats a cranky old rich woman dying of cancer and gets an idea for a grandiose endeavor that is sure to get him the Chief Resident spot" I just saw this episode the other day, she was even funny as a horror show patient.
According to the internet, LOL she was on St. Elsewhere in 1982. I do not remember that episode

Doris won an Emmy for that role on St. Elsewhere. You called it Cossysmom.
I don't remember that episode either, NES. But I would like to see it. I am sure it's on the Internet somewhere. Doris was such a great actress She did win 5 Emmys in the course of her career. Granted most were as Marie Barone but she deserved every one! Marie Barone is unforgettable. I too love to watch the reruns every night. The cast must be heartbroken at her passing. Life sucks sometimes.
