Hi Reality...are there any updates on the trial?

They are still selecting the jury. I heard the trial will begin on April 25th which is next Monday. Not much else to report.

Thanks Reality!
How's the car?

The car is good. My daughter and I took a little road trip yesterday to watch my nephew play baseball and got to see my parents. It was a beautiful day for baseball

Good that you got out to see your parents and your nephew play. It was a great day...perhaps Spring has finally arrived..

They are still trying to seat a jury. I don't think opening statements will start Monday. They are saying now probably Wednesday

Hi Reality....Any news on the trial?

I haven't heard that the trial will start this Monday. It seems the jury selection is going slower then they expected. When I know when it starts i will post it right away.

I just read this: (not trying to step on Reality's toes) MARIETTA, Ga. – Defense attorneys for a Georgia man accused of intentionally leaving his toddler son in a hot SUV to die have asked the judge to move his trial.Justin Ross Harris faces charges, including murder, and has been in jail since the day 22-month-old Cooper died in June 2014.Harris' attorneys filed a motion for a change of venue Friday afternoon, about three weeks into jury selection, multiple news media outlets reported. The attorneys said they don't believe an impartial jury can be found in the county where the alleged crime happened. They said the questioning of potential jurors has shown that pretrial publicity has led many to believe that Harris is guilty.Cobb County Superior Court Judge Mary Staley said she will hear arguments on the motion Monday.Cobb County prosecutors have said that Harris, 35, was unhappily married and was looking for an escape.Defense attorneys said their client was a loving father and that the death was a tragic mistake.

You are not stepping on my toes NEsunrise. I had not heard that and I welcome any info. I know it has been slow trying to get jurors to get through the final round of questioning. I hope we will be able to hear the arguments tomorrow. Thanks for the info.

No problemo I saw the ap report on them thinking he was guilty and had to read more LOL. I know its not funny, but after 3 weeks they didn't know that it had too much press coverage for an impartial jury?

I read that as well...that since the case received so much publicity the defense doesn't believe their client will get a fair trial in this town. Too Bad...

Maybe he shouldn't have cooked his kid in the car and then there wouldn't be this problem?
I hope the judge denies change of venue, technically that request is usually made before jury selection in high profile cases. Maybe the defense lawyer is a moron? One can hope

The judge has granted the defense their motion for change of venue. It is going to be months before they start the process again. No one thought she would grant it. Everyoneven is shocked.

Wow! I can't believe that judge did that??? totally crazy.
Where ever he goes he will be found GUILTY of killing that baby...so sad!

I figured the judge would rule for a change of venue (its kind of like being on that jury-no one wants to do it) LOL She would automatically be looking at the defense appealing or a mistrial. Now she can sleep
Wherever they try this-he's toast-thanks to the 24/7 "news" coverage. Nah not toast, I like toast, he will be found guilty. I'm surprised he's still alive. Fellow inmates don't like baby killers.
