Happy Thursday! Hope you have a day full of sunshine! It's supposed to be in the eighties here today with bright sun, probably the nicest day of spring so far. Life's short....Smile, while you still have teeth. Dance, while you can still hear the music. Sing, just because you can! Have a great day everyone!

Its TGIT !! Its sunny and going to 80 here today
Scandal season finale tonight. Will Shonda outdo herself with the OMG endings?
The fox is back - No offense to the fox but my little creatures aren't there getting their food because of him. Not sure how to deal with Mr. Fox.

Good Morning everyone! Still rainy here but a high near 70 today!
Great advice teluog!
Hi NE. Yeah I was worried that fox would become a problem for your wild critters. Not sure how to handle it, because I know you don't want to hurt that fox either. Maybe you can put out some Fox food for him?
I know that is not the answer conservationist would give but you are trying to stop a wiley fox! Good luck.

The problem is, anything that scares the fox off, might also scare the other critters. Can you get your hands on some dog hair maybe, I've heard if you spread a little around, some animals smell it and take off? Don't know if it'll work or not. You definitely don't want a fox hanging around your house, they can have rabies. There's always something you don't want around along with the things you do. I went out to feed the birds one day and a weasel jumped out of the snow bank, we both yelled, the neighbors could probably hear me, the weasel looked like I scared the crap out of him.

Hi teloug, NE, Sam and all to come.....Spunky and Vantro.
teloug, that's funny. I bet most animals are more afraid of humans than we are of them.
It's hot already. I was just sitting outside and I had to come inside because the sun was burning my leg. I am not a hot season girl. I never complain all winter but this is my time to holla!! I get very evil if it gets too hot.

LOL about the weasel, I think I scared Mr. Fox yesterday but he got over it, today he seemed not as nervous. Last 2 weeks there was a giant stupid puppy (no offense to puppies) His people finally put him on a leash. So he was rolling around all over the place out there-guess he thought I was going to feed him and invite him in for some cat play LOL So there is dog hair out there. Thanks for the idea though
Oh a squirrel is back! Yayayay!

Squirrels are pretty cocky and nervy. We were in a cabin once, left the door open and a baby squirrel ran inside. We were running around screaming when the mother squirrel ran in. We ran outside....I ran back in and shooed them all out. About one hour later we went back outside and that mama was up in a tree and she squealed at us. And we ran. Squirrels are crazy.

Squirrels scare me, some of them want to attack...lol I stay away from them.
Have a great day all.......And thanks 'teluog' for doing the morning thread in 'bje's' absence. Perhaps she will read it and come back soon.
Enjoy!

Just remembered, if you have a store around called "Tractor Supply," they have some pellets you can sprinkle around, (all natural) that keep pesky critters away. We tried it at the cottage, because we had some skunks that loved the place as much as we do, it doesn't keep the chipmunks away so that shouldn't be an issue. I think it costs around $15 though, it is a big container, but a little pricey. I'm going there shortly, I'll try to remember to get a name off of the container if it's still in the shed. It seemed to work.

Thanks Teluog Thing is I have worked to get the small wild beasts and birds here. They have little tiny alarm clocks LOL they must as they appear at 8 am sharp -all of them at the same time. I love feeding them and its cheap entertainment for 2 house cats. The fox was not invited. He crashed the party. I fear the pellets would make everybody but the one chipmunk go away
I did look up Tractor Supply and there is one about 20 min away (good to know in general)

Lol! NE about the fox "crashing" the party.....aren't foxes supposed to be out at night? I was told by my neighbor, don't know if its true, that if they are out and about during the day, it could mean they are rabid, so be careful, especially with that tough cat of yours.
Perhaps you should call someone, and ask them to take the fox away, before he hurts someone.
