He chose to have a bench trial so the judged decided the case and the verdict was not guilty on all 4 charges.

What a shame!
A man who is alive gets thrown in a paddy wagon, is taken on a wild ride by police officers and ends up dead and no one's guilty?

If the van driver did take Freddie Grey on a wild ride how is it that officers fault? He wasn't in the vehicle. He helped place Freddie in the van for transport to the station. He had no way of knowing what would happen during the ride. We also don't know if the driver did take him for a wild ride. The other passenger did say that he could hear Grey banging himself against the walls. I think it is plausible that maybe Freddie injured himself. If he was injured as a result of a wild ride then the driver alone is responsible. Also, I do think those officers who were present when he was asking for medical help might be guilty of some kind of negligence. They really should have called an ambulance at that point. This officer who was found not guilty only had contact with Freddy at the very begining when he was caught and loaded into the van.
