Ken Starr has nothing but sweet things to say about Bill Clinton, the man he spent most of the 90s trying to bring down.

Now he is expressing sadness that so much of Clinton’s presidency was marred by what he so delicately refers to as “the unpleasantness,” and is calling him “the most gifted politician of the baby boomer generation,” and praising his “redemptive” post-presidential work, noting “President Carter set a very high standard, which President Clinton clearly continues to follow.”

Starr thinks Bill is genuinely nice too

“His genuine empathy for human beings is absolutely clear,” Mr. Starr said. “It is powerful, it is palpable and the folks of Arkansas really understood that about him — that he genuinely cared. The ‘I feel your pain’ is absolutely genuine.”

Could this newly found empathy have anything to do with the fact that Baylor University and the board of regents are preparing to remove Ken Starr from his position as school president due to the board being unimpressed with how he handled a sex scandal at the school?
 
Starr has been the president and chancellor at Baylor for the past six years, during which time the school has been dealing with at least eight major allegations of rape and assault against members of the football team.
