Mass Murders In Florida
Fifty people are now known to have died in Friday's shooting in a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida, and a "state of emergency" has been declared, the city's mayor has said.
The gunman, named by officials as Omar Mateen, was killed after taking hostages.
Another 53 people were injured in the shooting at the Pulse club.
It is the worst mass shooting in US history.

LT. Gov. Dan Patrick best hope that is not true because he may be reaping a whole lot himself. 
I just don't get why people think like that. Why so much hatred?

Clueless Keep:State of emergency has been declared. So tragic this is on our soil. What will this administration do about this? Will this be another opportunity for them to try a gun grab from law abiding citizens instead of doing the logical thing and closing down our borders and quit letting these terrorists in until we can figure it out.
Omar Mateen didn't cross any borders. He is a 29-year-old U.S.-born citizen with a permit to carry a weapon, in this case, an AR-15-type assault rifle.
Gunman Omar Mateen was armed with an AR-15-type assault rifle, which has become the signature weapon of mass killers in the US.
Known as "America's gun," it is owned by around 3.7 million American households, making it the country's most popular rifle.
The military-grade weapon was used by Adam Lanza in December 2012 to shoot dead 26 people at Sandy Hook in Newtown, while the San Bernardino terrorists used AR-15s when they killed 14 people in December 2015.
It was also used to kill nine people at Umpqua Community College in October 2015.
And in July 2012 James Eagan Holmes used an AR-15-type assault rifle to kill 12 people in Aurora, wounding a further seventy.
The sale of semiautomatic weapons is hugely controversial in America as the rapid fire mode would allow a rogue gunmen to kill dozens of people in a matter of seconds.
Don't ask what will this administration do, ask the NRA and the gun nutz why a law abiding citizen needs this kind of weapon.

I am in tears and sickened by what Im reading on some boards and social media: blame Obama for open borders and not speaking "fast enough", blah blah blah, blame the Muslims, blah blah blah, blame the Christians, blah blah blah, Hillary, gun grab, this would never had happened in an open carry state, borders, trumps tweets (gack) blah blah blah. Jesus, can't anyone keep politics out of it for one damn day and mourn the loss of innocent life. It truly sickens my stomach. Do we even stop to think how many parents spent all last night dialing their children's cell phones and they rang on and on and on. Tears.

I read this on the NYT's comment page...and I totally agree.
"Kindergartners are mowed down in school and we do NOTHING. Moviegoers are murdered and we do NOTHING. Over 50 people are killed in cold blood and I'm fairly sure we are going to do NOTHING.
The pro-gun philosophy has failed."
I blame the NRA and all those gun enthusiasts that don't care until one of THEIR loved ones is mowed down by an automatic weapon!!

The only way we will have any change is by voting in Hillary Clinton in November and voting democrats into the legislative branch and then maybe then the NRA will be stripped of their power and we can get some sensible gun laws on the books. It is going to take people rising up and voting democrat in the next election.
No matter how educated, talented, rich, or cool you think you are, how you treat people tells us all. Integrity is everything.

Omar Mateen, the suspect in the Orlando, Fla., nightclub shooting that killed 50 and injured 53 more, spent time at the Islamic Center of Fort Pierce and was there as recently as two days ago.

Imam Shafiq Rahman told The Washington Post on Sunday. A reporter for WPTV in Florida reported that Mateen's imam gave an unexpected statement to the media on Sunday evening.
The imam, who was not identified by name by reporter Meghan McRoberts, said if presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump were president, the anger would shift away from Muslims, according to a WPTV reporter. “It would have some good effects,” the unnamed imam told WPTV.

Ignorance is alive and well all over the place.
Did anyone see on TV the mother who has not yet found out if her son is alive or dead? She was hysterical, just not knowing.
If one can't put oneself in her shoes to know that feeling, then one must be DEAD. What if that was your kid?
