Apparently, the city of New York is not returning the love the Donald claims to have for his home. At the very least, their Police Department isn’t.Reportedly Trump asked to address the NYPD’s officers on Friday, presumably in regards to the attack on officers in Dallas, as well as other attacks around the country.

He was rebuffed.

According to the New York Daily News, NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton rejected the presumptive Republican nominee's request to speak at a 3 p.m. roll call at the NYPD Midtown North Precinct in the wake of the Dallas attack on law enforcement officers that left five dead and seven others wounded

."Our interest is staying out of the politics of the moment, and not to provide photo ops," Bratton told reporters Friday.

"If Mr. Trump wants to speak to me, I would be happy to brief him on what we're doing. If Sen. Clinton wants to speak to me, I would very happy to brief her on what we're doing. But we are not in the business of providing photo ops for our candidates."

Trump's people claim this never happened.
