Monkeys entered the stone age!

Capuchin monkeys colonized Brazil roughly a half million years ago & with their colonization tools became a crucial part of process. Humans now have company!

“We’re standing at the starting line of non-human archaeology, a field that now includes sites of chimpanzees, macaques and capuchins,”

Cashews have a toxin that is extremely irritating much like poison ivy. The Capuchin turned tech to solve this problem. Hammer & anvil.

Scientists have discovered some of their tools dating them back to 700 yrs! This discovery represents the oldest non-human tools found outside of Africa, as well as the oldest known tools not belonging to humans or chimpanzees.

The capuchins’ select their tools based on size and material. Hammers are made of hard quartzite, whereas anvils are made of heavier sandstone.

The dig continues & scientist are convinced they will find more to this story!

I will not kneel before Zod.
