I never realized that Justice Ginsburg was such a fighter.. I am really impressed!
Here's part of what she said:
"I can't imagine what this place would be -- I can't imagine what the country would be -- with Donald Trump as our president," she said. "For the country, it could be four years. For the court, it could be -- I don't even want to contemplate that." She joked -- it seemed like a joke, anyway -- that she might move to New Zealand if Trump were to win.
So of course he wants her to resign....what as asshole he is...

I just heard that he wants her to apologize!...I hope she doesn't do it. I want her to continue being the notorious RBG....she needs Elizabeth Warren to help her..
He insults women, immigrants, Latinos, Muslims, and people with disabilities -- this year has been a nonstop assault of offensive statements and alarming policy positions. He wants to ban some people, punish others, deport even more, and discriminate against almost all. And he wants her to apologize....the idiot is delusional.. He needs to apologize to the world. My America is already great!....If he doesn't like it he can leave it.
Edited to add:
She's supposed to be impartial when hearing a case in the Supreme Court but she's also a citizen who can speak her mind. Now if she had criticized Clinton the Republicans would be jumping for joy and calling her the greatest thing since sliced bread.

I feel awful that she apologized to that scumbag...... I would never have apologized to that asshole....She is a better person than he will ever be....And now we know what she thinks of him....the other Justices' probably agree with her assessment.
He has insulted everyone...POW's, women, immigrants, Latinos, Muslims, and people with disabilities......still waiting for him to apologize, but I know he never will because evil people like him only care about themselves....Go to hell DT!! He will never be my President!
Edited to add: he just insulted the NAACP too! So include minorities to the above list!

maybe she's just being clever. She's apologized for what she said, but once a bell is rung, it can't be un-rung. It's like saying "strike that from the record" and expecting the jury to forget they ever heard it. she was able to say what she thinks, then apologize, and we will still remember how she feels about DT. Way to go, RBG!!!

Justice Ailito sitting in the audience at a State of the Union speech very visibly and clearly made his disdain for President Obama known when the President criticized the Citizens United decision.
What is more political than that?
Justice Scalia not only spoke frequently about political issues, but did so on Fox News. He attended Koch brothers gatherings, accepted trips from lobbyists, and was at a private hunting club (all expenses paid of course) when he died.

I don't think she apologized to Trump so much as apologize for saying something as an influential judge during an election. I admire her ability to take the high road while still making a statement.

vantro, you are correct and that's an important distinction. Glad you pointed that out
