After months of claiming a close relationship with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump now says he doesn’t really know him at all.

“I never met Putin. I don’t know who Putin is,” the Republican presidential nominee said Wednesday at a Florida news conference. “He said one nice thing about me. He said I’m a genius. I said ‘Thank you very much’ to the newspaper, and that was the end of it. I never met Putin.”

“I have nothing to do with Russia, nothing to do, I never met Putin, I have nothing to do with Russia whatsoever".

This is interesting because during a debate last year, Trump explicitly said that he’d met Putin while the two of them were set to appear on 60 Minutes.

“I got to know him very well because we were both on 60 Minutes, we were stablemates,” said Trump at the time.

Additionally, The Hill notes that Donald Trump Jr. told a 2008 real estate conference that “Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross-section of a lot of our assets.”

DT needs to be indicted for treason! He's dangerous and against the United States!

Edited to add: He actually told Russia to hack into the missing emails...?? this is a treasonist act...and he should be indicted!

Wow......we all know this and it's a rhetorical question....What is wrong with Donald Trump????? The man is truly crazy and out of control. What a thug....he is partnering up with the Russia against our country???
And people will STILL vote for him?
I am sorry to say I will break friendships with people who vote for him. There is just so much I will take but anyone who votes for him is desperately racist or just dumb. Yes I said it and I meant it.

His supporters have seen everything. Their eyes are wide open & they see a man pretending to be one of them. He isn't politically correct. He makes them feel secure in their bigotry. And he feeds their constant fear of all things different. He is exactly what they want. He is their perfect candidate. A redneck billionaire who pretends he is blue collar. Dumbasses.

Dumbasses for sure. The question is, are there enough of them to get him elected POTUS? As Obama said this morning, anything is possible". YIKES

I agree zeke. I have quietly broken a few "friendships" because they think Trump would make a great President. I even have unfriended a few of my family members on FB. It 's not about politics, it's that Trump is not qualified to be POTUS. The way he speaks is embarrassing for our country. Now this?

It's a long way till November. Hopefully Trump self implodes long before election night.

Well, I have not gone so far as to break a friendship over Trump. Instead, I listen and debate the point that Trump is dangerous for our country and I usually win If not, I just ghost them

I have neighbors/friends (republicans) that depend on me to drive them everywhere, since they no longer drive...and I know that they believe in "party" first...but I'm leaning towards NOT driving them come November....I just can't do it..Why should I help them and take them to vote for this idiot, when they don't realize that he's making fools of them, no matter how often its been explained to them, and they have watched it on TV as well.

I'm an Indy but I see the type of person that DT is...he's a scumbag.....it's soooo obvious that it slaps you in the face....and yet some still don't see it?? They can call car service, and I will tell them why it won't be me doing the driving.

Tonight's speakers are really what I've needed to hear..ALL of them....Bloomberg said...."this is NOT a reality show...this is reality" and he added "The only thing rich about DT is his hypocrisy"..hmmmmm.... It made me wonder what he knows, being that he's from NY as well.....

So zeke...all I want to know is WHEN are we going to see those TAX returns????

DT is making fools of everyone, that still believe in him...and he's probably laughing at them, and also calling them names and insults, because they do believe him, so I will not be an enabler...NOT this year...its too important.

It truly saddens me see the effect Trump has had on our civil society. Not driving someone to the polls based on who they will vote for sounds eerily similar to not baking a wedding cake based on who they will marry. This is all just too much

I too will miss him! His speech tonight was OUTSTANDING! I feel blessed to have lived a life with Barack Obama as President of The United States!
