Hello everybody,
Muggy Wednesday.....but looking forward to the weekend. This is the last leg of summer. I have thoroughly enjoyed my swimming this summer and am looking for an indoor pool for the winter. Not sure how my hair likes the idea but I am firming up....a little.
Have a wonderful day, all. Soak up all the greatness of this glorious planet.
Did I say how much I like the folks on this MB?

Hi zeke and everyone!
It's also a very warm muggy day here...and showers expected off and on all day....the rest of the week too.
Good luck with finding an indoor pool for the winter....try the WMCA....No...not the dance....the exercise place.
I like the people in plan b too....we're a family....don't always agree...but NEVER insult each other..
Enjoy your day everyone!
Thanks zeke...you are one special lady!

Lol. I like the dance, too! Spunky you are the special one who keeps us all afloat here. I think we're ALL very cool!

good afternoon everyone
its a yucky day here but I guess the rain is good for the desert looking flora. The way it looks outside I keep expecting an armadillo or kangaroo or Wile Coyote to come join the wild life breakfast spread I put out LOL
swimming is awesome Zeke, the ocean is warmer (relatively) in the fall LOL
I agree Spunky is special

Very hot and humid here today. SO and I are about to start or summer vacation and today is the packing day. We have 5 weeks of unused vacation days that need to be used before 2017 and plan on taking 3 of them in Aug. Heading to our annual trip to the Vineyard on Friday for 3 weeks then planning two weeks of day vacation time with family and friends!

Hi Brave!

Thanks so much Spunky! It has been a difficult year for us and I am hoping to convince SO to consider retirement sometime soon. Hoping that 5 weeks of stress free time off the job will have an impact.

Braveone......enjoy MV. We did P-town instead. It was never so beautiful. Didn't want to come home.
Take some pics of the clay cliffs and share them here, ok?
Have a wonderful time and be safe.

Hi zeke,
Where did you stay in P-Town? P-Town is our first stop on our day vacation time after the Vineyard and we are staying at the Elephant Walk Inn for one night before heading back to Boston.

The house was on...get this....Aunt Sukie's Way. We spent most of our time at Herriing Cove Beach. Everyone was so happy and cheerful....even the dogs! And if you go to Herring Cove in the evening and park at the beach on a Sat or Sun there is always a wedding on the beach.
And in Aug you will get the best sales.
I am jealous...wish I could go back.

I know Aunt Sukies in Wellfleet, a beautiful B&B. Herring Cove Beach has the most amazing sunsets, did you get to see one?
Next time you are there you should travel just a couple of miles to Race Point Beach. Race Point is on the farthest tip of Cape Cod before open ocean. It is truly spectacular with the most amazing waves. I told SO that when I die I want my ashes spread across Race Point Beach. No kidding!

Lol. I have been to Race Point many times. I am a Cape Cod girl since I was maybe 8?
My next adventure is to stay in one of those little huts in North Truro, right on the water.
Maybe 30 years ago, my husband and our first-born stayed in a place in Vineyard Haven, MV.....tiny little place smack dab on the oceanfront. Wondered why we got such a nice room because we were broke. Well...... We were hit with such a hurricane!!! Baby was in bed with us and we all stayed up with the covers pulled up to our chins. LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT!!
Braveone...there is an estuary in Sandwich. It's so cool. If you go in the morning it's one thing but by the afternoon the water has filled in and people are having wild fun. Let me know if you go.
Full report upon return, please. Lol. Again, I am so jealous.

Shout out to the Wellfleet folks in the house Before vacationing on MV we would vacation with the kids in Wellfleet and stayed in the Wellfleet Motor Inn across the street from Marconi Beach. The Wellfleet Motor Inn was kid friendly and had an indoor pool for rainy days. Such great memories!
The Vineyard is as beautiful as ever and we are having amazing weather. Haven't run into the Obamas yet but heard they were at Lola's in Oak Bluffs on Sunday. This is a distance from Chilmark where they are staying and they had to travel through 5 MV towns down some very dark roads to get there and back! They must have heard about the amazing Jambalaya (also served vegan style) at Lola's
Yesterday there was a small private plane that strayed into the no fly zone over the Obama's house in Chilmark that was immediately intercepted and escorted to Nantucket by two F15 fighter aircraft without incident. Appears to have been pilot error and law enforcement is now involved.
I am so impressed with NORAD and the swift job they did to protect our First Family and not just shoot down the plane! Bravo!!

Yowsa. Have been to Lola's several times. Popular haunt in Oak Bluffs.
POTUS used to play B Ball at the elementary school near town. Folks (near the school) couldn't leave or enter their homes while he was on the court. Don't know if he still plays there or not.
I wish I could go back.
Might just do it.
Somewhere in Edgartown today (may have started at 5) there is a gathering of folks. It's annual. Discussion of current issues. Ask around Brave. I wanted to go but could not get away from work. Because of the state of political issues it should be very very interesting.
Stay in touch.

Wellfleet Motor Inn, The Drive In, all excellent...PJ's!!! ice cream LOL
Right down the road from our house was the South Wellfleet General Store-awesome place-it had everything Its all snooty now LOL You have to pass it on the right on Rt 6 going to Wellfleet, Truro or P-Town. The bro and I used to walk ALL the way down there from our house on Ocean View Drive and buy a comic and a soda for 15 cents. LOLOL. Here's a pic of it from the 90's

Passed this place a million times. I am sure we have stopped there. But I always want to stop at every spot. Do you remember when the Christmas Tree Shoppe on the Cape was the one and only one? Back then it was a treat because it was special.
Sorry to bore everybody but these are such warm memories. Some things up there just don't change, thank God. Lol.
